Bio

Monica Trigg, DrPH, MPH, PMP, serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor within the Rollins School of Public Health and Director of Programs in the Department of Epidemiology. In her faculty capacity, Dr. Trigg leverages extensive expertise to advance the DrPH Program through doctoral mentorship, specialized instruction, and strategic advisory roles.

Her doctoral research utilized a systems-level framework and socio-ecological modeling to investigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on women's agency across Latin America and the Caribbean.

As Director of Programs, she provides executive leadership for the Coalition for Applied Modeling for Prevention (CAMP), a high-impact, CDC-funded Cooperative Agreement currently in its 12th year of operation. Dr. Trigg joined Emory in 2013 following a career supporting public health initiatives with CARE, The Carter Center, Georgia State DHP, and the Peace Corps. Her professional trajectory integrates rigorous academic theory with "real-world" practice, fostering a robust approach to complex public health systems.
