Bio

Dr. Travis Sanchez (DVM, MPH) is a Research Professor in the Department of Epidemiology of the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. He obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1994 and his Master of Public Health from Emory University in 2000. His public health background includes infectious disease epidemiology at state and local agencies as well as domestic and international HIV surveillance at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has been with Emory University since 2011 and currently leads research on technology-based HIV epidemiological studies and interventions, particularly among LGBTQ+ persons. Dr. Sanchez is also the founding editor-in-chief of JMIR Public Health and Surveillance, a top-tier public health journal.
